Just got our 2021 LC a few weeks ago and I'm having intermittent problems with Bluetooth. Sometimes (but not all the time) when I'm on a call the Bluetooth will disconnect, reconnect, etc. over and over. I saw a thread about iphone issues with iOS, but didn't see anything with Android. Anyone have this issue and have a potential fix? Hoping I don't have to take it to the dealer for this.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S10+

In my 2018 LC, the Bluetooth goes crazy trying to connect / reconnect over and over if I have my phone (Galaxy S9) configured to only connect for media audio only, or call audio only, but not both (the LC doesn't seem to remember that I only set it up for one or the other after turning the car off and on). The moment I connect both media AND call audio, my problem goes away. Slightly different problem from what you've described, but it seems related. Probably worth a try to see if your issue goes away if you always have both media and call audio connected (if you aren't already).

I think I did connect call only. I'll give that a shot. Thanks

FWIW I have no issues between my Note20S and my 2021 200.

I haven't had any issues connecting S10+ for phone calls.

OP...I think what people are suggesting is that the problem might be phone-side.

Toyota/Lexus Bluetooth sucks, plain and simple. It works decently well, until it doesn't and then it usually requires disconnecting and restarting both the phone and the vehicle. A few times I have even had to forget the devices and reconnect/register them altogether. Look a how many late model Toyota/Lexus products I have listed in my signature line, every single one of them has suffered from this nonsense.

Bluetooth, for both my previous 2017 and my current 2020, once music/call is in progress has been flawless. So, unfortunately I have nothing for the OP - sorry.

However, my issue on both vehicles is their voice recognition routine.

Example: I will press the wheel button and say "Call home". The vehicle will sometimes (about 50%) surprise me and actually ask me if I want to call home. But it's just as likely to ask me if I want to call the local Chinese take out restaurant (or some other named place/person that does NOT sound like home).

Maybe someone has an idea for me to try?

If I got potstickers every time I called home, I'd be a happier man.

@LBridges Work on your enunciation, perhaps?

Bluetooth has been flawless in my Land Cruisers. We're iPhone users, in case that matters.

Brings up a good point. I think the LC imports my contacts list and just tells the phone to dial a number. In which case the phone seems not to be my problem. For clarity, I use an Android phone - the One Plus 8 Pro. Is that proper thinking?

I have tried to speak as clearly as possible. But somehow even given bad pronunciation it doesn't seem like the issue when I say "call home" and it asks me if I want to call "Aunt Beth". Today it asked me if I wanted to call "Weather Engineers" (my home A/C service company).

I have been an iPhone user for the past decade and the voice recognition has been spotty for me as well. The Sync systems in our Ford's has always been better than any Toyota/Lexus product we've owned.

So far, this seems to have fixed the issue. Thanks!

Wanted to resurrect this thread just to say thanks. I was having the continual connect/disconnect issue with my Razr+

Saw this thread and remembered I had turned off Instant Messaging capability. Selected both phone and media and the problem is gone. Thanks.
