2021 Fall Crawl - Kessler Memorial Run update

Fall Crawl Update-

At the meeting we chose the weekend of October 1-3 to do our 3rd annual Kessler Run and Fall Crawl, with the intention of wheeling at SMORR again.

After much time and effort, we have decided to move this event to Rush Springs Ranch. We went here a couple years ago when Tuttle was underwater, and had a good time, even though it rained a good chuck of the time. Both SMORR and Flat Nasty are booked up with no available electric spots, so we felt that it was going to be much too busy for our family event.

They have showerhouses and facilities available, as well as have 48 RV sites and many cabins. They also have a row of cabin cruiser boats that are "dry docked" and setup as cabins. Really creative. It is located in Pineville, MO, which is about 3 hours from KC. They also have some ponds you can fish in on the property.

Many of us will roll down on Thursday mid day and plan to return on Sunday morning.

I reserved the three for the big bus and the TAC community area. If you call down and tell Annette your with our group, she will know where our sites are.

We are talking about doing a huge bonfire as well depending on the weather....

Is anyone else going to tent camp? Or feasible to set my tent up by an rv site? It's a 4 person cabin tent.

There is lots of room for tent camping. That is what I did last time I was there.

I wasn't able to find much in the way of a GPS file when I looked. The Maprika app has a copy of their map. While I haven't used it before, it sounds like you can create some sort of GPS file using it.

Cool. Never heard of that app before but I just downloaded it and sure enough, they have the Rush Springs Ranch map and it looks like it is linked to your phones gps so it will show your location on the map. I was trying to see if I could load the map into OnX or Gaia or something. OnX has hi res satellite and 3D maps with contours but the area is heavily treed so you can't really see the trails on the sat images.
