Update: I brought the truck home from Tandem today with the new wheels, tires, custom OTT tuned Harrop supercharger, and Powerbrake X-line kit.

It’s a monster. Pablo Moreno and his team at Tandem are excellent. This thing pulls effortlessly with great power throughout. Stops on a dime too.

I’m really excited about how this turned out.

Next step for this modified J201 concept build will be adding CBI bumper and sliders…

I haven't been very active on here recently, but I rememeber that CBI had some really bad delivery issues on the 2018+ bumpers. You should check to see if that ever got resolved.
Did you look into the Dissent armor? It's amazing stuff, and mostly aluminum, which is great for our AHC.

I have the CBI bumper on my 2021 and parts of it are rusting/pitted pretty hard. Will probably have to get it repainted at some point. It was installed when I purchased the vehicle, but I would have done the Dissent bumper. It does look pretty cool though. Hopefully the newer ones are better.

Well that is concerning…

I understand Dissent makes a great product. I’m just not a fan of the styling. I hope the CBI bumper and sliders hold up for me…

Quick update:

Brought the LX 570 (“Rosie”) for her first adventure to the Ozarks in northwest Arkansas. We had to take a detour on the way up to get around a highway closure and ended up on a very muddy road, large puddles about two feet deep in spots and lots of very soft mud, but Rosie made it through and got her first good mud bath.

The Harrop TVS2650 supercharger felt great on the drive up from Texas. We took a more scenic route and spent most of the drive on two-lane roads. The extra boost helped to pass slow traffic and get out of the way of oncoming traffic faster. The extra power felt natural and smooth. I definitely notice the SC when accelerating from medium to higher speed (50ish to 80ish) while passing.

Interestingly enough the mpg on the drive up was a little over 16 mpg. Slightly better than it was before getting the supercharger installed so there does seem to be some efficiency gain. Overall mpg since getting the SC is about 1 mpg better than it was. And I definitely haven’t been pussyfooting around.

Other than the muddy road, we haven’t hit anything too crazy as far as trails go (also I don’t have the sliders or bumper on yet). Just pretty well maintained forest roads and the like. But I am hoping to take the truck to a nearby terrain park later this week.

Few more from the last couple of days in the Beaver Lake, Arkansas area. Not offroad, but the drive on Hwy 62 into Eureka Springs from Garfield is spectacular with winding banked curve roads over large cliffs and vast vistas. Terrain park tomorrow if the boss lady lets me get away.

I’m having trouble figuring out how to upload videos but here is a screenshot from my outing at the 3B Adventure Park near Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Really fun terrain park with a variety of green, blue and black trails. The black trails definitely require a Polaris or other specialty ATV and would not be suitable for a roadworthy vehicle. We generally kept to the greens, since I haven’t installed the armor on the truck yet. This shot was on one of the easier, less steep, wider sections of the trails.

We had a blast, and the beast performed great. The trails were a lot of fun. Pretty steep and narrow in places with loose rocks and dirt. I was particularly impressed with the way the truck was able to enter and exit steep hills from flatter ground without scraping the front or rear bumpers.

Tandem Offroad in Fort Worth. They do a great job, but they aren’t cheap. It was about $2k for the sliders and bumper install.
