Hi all, does anyone else own both a Land Cruiser (2020) and a limited 4Runner (2016)? I have noticed that the steering of my 4Runner has much less resistance than that of my newer Land Cruiser. When turning into parking lots, I can pretty much only use a single finger to make turns on my 4Runner. On my Land Cruiser, I feel at least twice the resistance, and it feels a bit stiff.

The Land Cruiser was purchased as certified used silver a few months. I have one year of power train warranty. I'm not sure if this is how they drive or if something is off with my steering.

I would love to hear the experiences of others who own both a 5th Gen Limited 4Runner and a 200-series Land Cruiser.

OEM tires, parts and full/current maintenance on both?

Having driven some 5th gen 4R, and having had one in the family for a while, I don’t see any reason why they would feel similar. They’re very different cars, as you know.

Yes, OEM tires and fully maintained on both.

Just wanted to hear people's thoughts. Wanted to get it checked out if it was out ordinary before my warranty expires.

so your LC needs two fingers? sounds pretty tough

So you need two fingers, sounds like you'll be fine.

I test drove a 2011 LX570 this past weekend and noticed much heavier steering than my 03 4runner and 5th Gens that I've driven in the past. I don't remember my 2nd Gen tundra being as heavy either. So maybe it's just a 200 thing 🤷🏼‍♂️

I have 2023 4R ORP and 2021 LC200 base
Steering is prob 1.5x heavier on the LC vs 4R
Brakes feel1.5x more effective on the 4R vs LC
Suspension 20+ % softer on LC vs 4R
