Another good trip. Saturday morning, already an hour behind schedule and after repeatedly being told that the expedition run was charted through areas that would "destroy our paint", wanting an easy, scenic trail ride to see the beauty of the area, we just grouped up and did our own run.
We drove 30 minutes to the Quachita national forest. After a couple of hours of trails, we stopped to hike to the north forest pinnacle site where a lookout tower was previously located to stretch our legs and get a great view of the forest.

After the hike, everyone ate a picnic lunch and socialized at the trailhead. From there, we hit a few more rocky trials, snapped a few photos at the spillway for the 'gram and then headed back to the park. What a great half day ride by the dixieland and hot south cruiser crews and a few others driving really cool and unique rigs, the red blizzard and a vintage diesel pickup!
After not using my M416 trailer for almost a year, its apparent it is time for new springs and shackles. Also, after knocking off the dust cap and having the grease washed out driving through standing water in Memphis, I packed it full of grease and did a little redneck engineering to get it back home.
