I've searched the forums and found several pre-2016 folks running ram mounts but I was hoping there was a member/thread/pics of someone taking off the radio to secure the ram mount base in a 2016+. I've done this to my 4 runner but I've yet to remove the radio cluster on our 200. Any help with how to do this is appreciated.

I have seen some guys on here that mounted a track on top of the radio that excepts ram ball but I don’t like the thought of using an adhesive for that. I mounted a ball to the grab handl, it’s taken some adjustm but I like it for my phone and I have a GoPro mount for It also

Thanks, I think I’m going to remove the stereo and adjacent pieces and drill some holes to mount it where near the drivers radio air vent is located.
I’ll post pics of the process.

ProClips. No drilling and install right by vents. Their base can be installed as well for RAM mounts or anything else you may want to use.
Thanks for the response. We tried the proclip mount but my wife doesn’t like it. We aren’t worried about drilling two small holes. I found a radio removal video on YT via beatsonics channel.

It’s strange, coming from the Jeep Wrangler world where I never hesitated to open the dash, run wires, drill a hole or whatever; now I cringe at the thought of popping interior panels off or getting to deep into anything below the surface of my 200. Lol I’m sure I’ll get over it eventually. I would rather mount a ball through the dash in the area you mentioned, I like to use it to run an iPad on long trips or off-road
