I recently purchased a 2016 LC. Reading in the owner's manual, it states that the power folding mirrors are supposed to fold in by default when the car is locked, and fold out when unlocked. They do not do this. The fold in/out button works fine. Anyone else have this issue? The dealer doesn't know what to do since they have no other LC's on the lot to compare with. Thanks.

In the manual it should state in the customizable options section how this should be done, either through the on board computer or through the obd programming that the dealer has to do.

Yes it states that the dealer has to program it in order to change it, but by default the mirrors should fold in/out with locking/unlocking. My problem is that the dealer has looked at it and confirmed that the computer states it is in this position, but the feature is not working so they don't know what to do. Can anyone else confirm that their 2016 does fold the mirrors in/out when locking?

I have the 16 LC and my do not fold either. I have ordered last week cable and sw through ebay so when I get it I will play with the computer and see what is possible or not.

Perhaps like our older versions, put the selector switch on the left or right side (not in the center for the mirrors) and see if that works? With mine the Mirror selector switch needs to be in Any position but center for it to work.

I tried this but no luck... Sounds like the factory may have left this feature off the 16's by accident.

For the record, here is luke27617's response from the other thread. Looks like the factory made a mistake in leaving this feature out. Thanks for trying this luke.

"Bad news. Doesn't matter what option you choose system performs the same way. I have noticed that manually mirrors only fold when ACC is on. The same with windows. Looks like even if the option is on, mirrors are not getting power so they do not fold even though they should. In the system shows default to fold with lock which doesn't work either. So seems to be a design issue."
