IMO, a ~$300 radiator shouldn't be a decisive factor in a purchase of this magnitude

If already looking for a 2018+ why wouldn't you choose to avoid a known issue? The radiator itself might only be $300 but it's a $700-900 job depending on where you have it done.

@Tex68w I was responding to this in the post just prior to mine, where he references '16+:

"If looking at a 2016+ LC I would seek out a late model 2018 or newer in order to get the redesigned radiator if budget allows."

And a lot of us do our own work, so the cost of parts is the total cost for some of us.

I guess it depends. If you can get a low mileage 16 or 17 for a great price, it may be worth it.
 
It all depends on what you're after and of course your budget. If I were looking at a 2016+ to get the facelift then I'd personally be looking to get all of the upgrades that the 2018+ has. That said, if there were a smoking deal on a 2016 or 2017 to be had then I could probably live without those features. Given the current market on these vehicles the odds of that are slim haha.

It happens, but less likely now with discontinuation loomimg. I picked up my 16 with a year and a half ago with 30k miles for $53k, and it came with a platinum Toyota warranty and maintenance plan (i received a refund of $900 from Toyota for the maintenance plan).

I wasn't planning to upgrade from my 11, but for the price it made sense to. I am glad I did.

My wife gave me the ok to get a 21, but I decided not to.

Folks, one additional question outside of the power rear hatch debate. Did Toyota retain the same housing for the front and rear diffs between 2018 and 2019+ models? I'm looking to purchase Eaton elockers and their catalog stops at 2018. The technical support office couldn't answer the question for me. Thank you folks!!!

Since they don't know, would they be willing to offset the cost of shipping them back if they don't fit? Since their technical team doesn't know, this could provide a data point that will increase their sales and knowledge base. I'm hoping this would give you a way to lower your financial outlay should they NOT fit.

Same part numbers for the third members of 2018 and 2019 cruisers per my parts system.
