I play music on my iPhone through the USB port - no need for a separate Aux port.

Do you have some particular use case that requires an Aux port that cannot be used through the USB port?

I have done the same. I am trying to hook up the carpuride apple car play unit. I tried a usb to aux adapter with no sucess. The usb icon on audio never lit up.

Not OP, but I’m going through the same thing. I’m using a USB - lightning cable from the Carpuride to my iphone, then BT audio through the phone to the LC. (2013 LC BTW)

Ha took me a second, I forget I have that username at times. Maybe 1 in 30 people will know the artist. I don’t listen to him as much as I used to! I had to look up UMRK, I didn’t know what that was. I probably should like Zappa more than I do. It just never clicked with me.

1 in 30 if you’re in Marfa, MAYBE. I’d actually like someone to conduct this experiment. My guess would be 1 in 1000. We’d have to run it in multiple locations, urban and rural and in between, to get a solid figure in the end. 1 in a 1000 might even be a reach.
