Hello everyone! I recently purchased a 200 Series and am having the CDL light flash randomly on startup and almost every time when I push it. I am not sure if the CDL actually actuates and the sensor does not sense it or if it doesn't actuate. I can say that it seems like the CDL is working but I am not 100%. I went up a relatively steep hill sideways so I could articulate heavily and the Cruiser went up it with ease making me think that the CDL was working. I plan on removing the top portion of the actuator and investigating the sensor plate. Do any of you have a similar issue? Thanks!

Mine did that when I bought it as it is a mint 1 owner mall crawler. It was 15 years of no one ever using that button.

After putting new fluid in all diffs and trans, took it off road. Took me 4 times, lots of reserver and forward, and finally it engaged.

Now I offroad it once a month, and CDL turns on and off smooth as butter.

To tell if the CDL is engaged or not, try driving on pavement while turning at full steering wheel lock. You will be able to feel a difference locked vs. unlocked CDL and notice a better turning radius with it unlocked.

My 2016 LC used to flash CDL and 4LO in the morning after i bought it as well. 100K on the clock at the time. I’ve been regularly engaging and disengaging the CDL for a year now and it hasn’t popped on in many many months. It never lingered… it would always turn off after driving for 2-3min+ and restarting it.

So, after waiting until the Cruiser was hot, I cycled probably 50 times. After that, it seems to be doing fine. If it starts messing up again, I have a plan.
