Hey all,
I didn’t want to hijack the other lighting thread…
I managed to crack and slightly dislodge the fog light shroud on the passenger side of my ARB bumper. The fog and turn indicator are still functional, but simply hanging down behind the busted shroud.
First, I don’t know if the shrouds I have were made by ARB and came with the bumper or if they’re made by Slee, who did the installation. However, I wanted to see if there was a “better” shroud that exists that might be cheaper than one made by Slee or ARB (name brand company usually equates to a higher price, and it IS just a small plastic part).
Second, I may use the opportunity to buy new fogs, too. Possibly headlights. Someone in another thread described the ARB fogs as “underwhelming.” That’s an understatement, in my opinion. Especially in pitch darkness with no ambient light to help you out.
With just low beams and fogs, I find the distance I can see down the road is extremely limited. Like maybe 15 feet. Yes, I use the high beams when I can, but if it’s nasty dark, but also other drivers on the road, I obviously can’t use high beams.
I just wanted to see what else someone might be using that they’re happy with.
Thanks!
