Saudi Toyota Dealer have just launched a 2013 LC200 model with a special edition called "The Rock". The name is referring to its rock strength quality and durability :) for those who might be tempted , Oman dealer has already been selling it for many years now and I have the same spec 2012 : the price is 235,000SAR ( 62,667$) . The detailed specs are :

The locking diff would be a "nice to have" on the USA spec version as would the rear gate mounted spare ... but alas ..

would love to see the rear tire attachment; is the bottom half just different on the rear which hold the tire?

If it is like the 80-Series, then the market with rear tire carriers have additional bracing in the rear quarter near the tail light to help support the additional weight.

Pics from this week kingdom launch ! Nice color /

What are the prices on it? Isn't it basically what you have plus a "rock" badge?

Correct, but that badge only worth a couple of more grands :-) . The price is 235,000SAR. I don't know the strategy here but for many years ALJ didn't sell this model to public and brought it under the 'fleet' tag for special orders from various companies. So generally everyone bought these LC's from outside the Kingdom or wait for a piece left from the fleet order.

Gotcha, it's interesting how they have them priced. Pretty crazy how the prices changed over the past couple years too!

another reason to be jealous of you guys over there; that color combo is not available here. Grey with tan interior is not available for the north american market.

Thats siiick

$62.5K....wow....Mr. Toyota sure is putting the wood to the US Land Cruiser folks. The 100-series was around $57k so I kind of expected the 200-series to be in the low $60k range. Instead, they cranked the price up to $77k which IMHO is insane.

Notable omissions:

Leather
Optitron display
No diesel engine

Noteworthy inclusions:

Rear differential lock
2 spares
Toyota winch
Cool box
Moonroof
Remote engine starter
Under bonnet light

I wonder if this variant will make it to Australia....

Probably not.

I know in the USA these have a cult type following and it seems toyota is taking advantage of that. I understand the LX570 with its interior and all but the LC should be a bit less

funny .. local Panamá Dealer offers 200 series V8 TDI ( less features and no winch etc etc etc ) in 92K ..

Tapage,

Do you know if Panama has any exportable diesel 70 series trucks? You've probably been asked before, so I apologize for not searching.

I'm paying that for my Sequoia, but it is loaded and has a full third row. The extra dough, if you don't need the third row for big people, is well spent on the cruiser.

IMO.
