I have a 2013 LC and after my radio has been on for about 30 minutes, I all of a sudden get the equivalent to the "emergency alert sound" and it wont go away. I end up turning off/on the radio to see if the radio starts working again. Nothing, the sound continues. I leave off the radio turned off and leave it off until I use the vehicle another day. Sure enough, it works for 30 minutes or so, and then emergency alert sound comes back. Any ideas what could be causing this problem. Everything on the screen works fine, no problem with that.

maybe try disconnecting the battery for 10-15 minutes? Other sources beside radio do the same thing?

I replaced the battery a month or so ago since it was dead. You are correct, it could be something else causing this sound. Someone on the internet mentioned it could be an antenna amplifier.

I wonder if this has anything to do with my 2013 LC radio issue. After maybe 30 minutes my FM cuts out, and then comes back on. Keeps doing that after it starts. Doesn't do it on XM. Also, DVDs are SUPER hot after they've been in use and pop them out. Not sure if that's normal, but seems crazy if it is.

It does happen when I'm hearing FM radio. However, the sound from the FM station (radio) goes away, there is this sound that like I mentioned sounds like the same sound that occurs when you are watching TV or listening to the radio when the "emergency broadcast" sounds comes on. That annoying sound stays on until I end up closing the radio. If I try to turn on the radio again, the sound is still there. I just end up leaving it off. The radio is fine the next day, again for 30 minutes or so. It almost seems like some sort of heating issue.

That is super weird and even more frustrating than my issue. If only I didn’t care about my talk radio!
