For those of you who have a 2013 LC I have a couple questions.

1) The 2nd row seat is setup as a 40-20-40... Is it possible to remove the 20 section to create a walk through to the 3rd row, creating captain's chairs in the 2nd row? I'm not sure if the 20 section was truly separate (seat and seat back) or just the seat back. If the whole piece was independent I would assume you could unbolt it from the floor.

2) Can the rear seat entertainment system be controlled from the front, i.e. playing, pausing, and fast forwarding DVD movies?

Thanks

While I don't have a 2013, I suspect the seating hasn't changed. Pictures on the Toyota site show the same seating setup as the 2008+ LC's. The second row is technically 60/40; in other words, no, the center section does not come out. It shares the seat bottom of the left side of the seat and the seat back is bolted to the left side as well. I believe the Highlander offers the feature you're describing and even includes a storage space for the 20% seat in the front center console.

I'm not 100% sure about the DVD controls for 2013. I can control them in my 2011 from the front but only when the vehicle is not in motion. You can install the kit from Prestigious Society that overrides the lockout for both the nav and DVD controls.

My 200 doesn't have rear seat entertainment so can't comment on that but the 2nd row seats are like sptsdn says 60/40. Only thing I can think of is if you could remove the larger section and buy another smaller section and bolt it in the other end.

I've thought about this for the 100 series as it also has 60/40 rear seats. If you can locate the RHD 40 side, you'll have 40/40 and an empty 20 in the middle. You might have to source different floor hardware though.

On question 2, if the 2013 is like the 2008 (which I suspect it is) then the rear entertainment can be controlled in the front ***IF*** you are parked with the parking brake engaged. Once you are driving, then it is down to the remote and the rear controls.

That is correct. There are also other features that don't work when the cruiser is driving. The cool way around it is the unit from The Prestigious Society. A push of the button and everything works. I have it on my '13 and have had no problems.
