Hi everybody just thought I'd ask if anybody had a similar issue.
Recently my stereo doesn't have sound, also in audio settings it has lost the rear dvd option to choose.
I went to the system check mode and ran the faults present.
It says that the rear dvd in NCON (not connected)
Any ideas where to start?
I have read that the way the entertainment system is setup this dvd ncon issue will cause the audio problem also as it's linked.
It was working fine yesterday etc just randomly today.
5 days ago I got a new secondary battery and added some anti corrosion to the terminals, this in turn made me have to reset all the electronics as had battery's off for awhile.
Surely this hasn't caused this issue as it was 5 days ago.
I don't have any other electronic dyonostic tools with me so unsure of problem.
Maybe I blew a fuse for the rear dvd to be powered?

Any help appreciated, I'm from Darwin N.T Australia.
Cheers guys 🍻

Check fuses for the A/V system?

Recently put the relevant connector diagrams in this thread.

Thanks for the posts guys.
I went through all the relevant fuses associated with entertainment system etc.
All fuses good and 12v present.
I removed the roof mount dvd player and cleaned the connectors.
Re installed and still nothing.
Ran another system check mode and now it doesn't have rear dvd player present at all not like before as in red (ncon).
I'm greenhorn with 12v fault finding.
I did read the above wiring outputs but couldn't find anything visually.
I have a 2012 sahara right hand drive.
Was hoping to find an issue myself before I have to pay my auto sparkie/mechanic to diagnose it.

Cheers

When my amp failed it also got removed from that table you’re looking at. Not sure that’s the news you want to hear. I decided it was because it didn’t phone home to the can-bus, but I have nothing but my opinion to back that up.

Thanks for the information mate, looks like she will be heading in to the local to get it sorted.
Appreciate your comments.

Hey mate.

Did you end up getting this issue sorted ? I've had the same issue but have had no luck with the dealership fixing it ?

Cheers

Hi mate, did you ever get an answer for this? My 2012 Sahara has just done the same thing after a very basic UHF installation. No water or corrosion evidence in the vehicle anywhere.
Cheers,
Jason

Hi Jason, I have 200 series Sahara with the audio not functioning as well. Did you get a response from Callum85?
My dealer has not been able to resolve after many weeks of trying. They suspect the roof mounted dvd unit bit it is expensive to replace. I am not sure that this is the actual problem yet and saw this post, that was so similar to my issue, so I wanted to see if there was any further response to your request.
Regards
