It looks like they added this feature at some point, but on mine there cig lighter/charging ports on on the rear of the console below the heating controls. Is there room to add them? Is it an easy job?

My searches proved fruitless.

Help me H8R's

i haven't seen anyone do it yet (I'm sure they have i just haven't found it). But i plan to do the same. I ordered the Toyota 12v cover lid (it's like $8 from any parts place) and plan to drill a whole and install. I was going to just piggy back off the wire from the 12v in the console as i don't expect to be putting any real load on it, just USB power. If you want to look at it yourself. The rear section of the console just pops off. Pull it strait towards the back of the vehicle and it comes out. If you don't have rear entertainment, then i think there is a ton of room. There is definitely still room below that, the only issue is the port will be pointed towards the floor a little. I ordered part number 85535-60110-E0 (E0 for ivory). I cheaped out and didn't order the Toyota 12v socket as it was over $30 (85530-60390) for a part that normally costs $5. I'm not saying this part is easy to make work, since i haven't done it yet, but this is the path I'm going down.

Also, if I had a black interior, I'd probably forgo trying to make it look factory and just buy one of the black panel mount USB/12v kits off Amazon/eBay and go from there. And may still do that if i find the Toyota part is hard to adapt to a non factory location. I was trying to narrow down the part number for the rear console section that is molded for the outlet, but i suspect that would get expensive just to add a single 12v port.

Are you looking to ADD it to your 2010?

Done it - can buy the OEM 2013 and up rear console piece. You do need to dremel away some of the metal brace and run wires

console isn’t an exact color match though

I've noticed that the E1 color code isn't a perfect match for the E0 code. I was missing a ashtray in the rear door and only the e1 was available. It's definitely not the right color, but better than nothing i guess. Not very satisfying to blow $50 on something that is completely useless to me just to satisfy my urge for it to look right, and then for it to not exactly look right... Can't win them all. I think with that big of a piece, I'd rather just have a awkward floor facing hole rather than a mismatched part. But I guess we will see once I have an awkward hole. I really don't forsee ever using the rear entertainment,, and that would be an excellent place to put a port, but I'm not willing to take it out yet.

Currently i have a little box with USB and 12V ports on a 3' cable I bought from Amazon years ago. I plug it into the front console port and fish the wire to the floor right in front of the rear of the console. Plug it in when i need it and shove the wire between the passenger seat and the console when i don't need it. Works okay.

Do you know part number by chance? Been contemplating this on my 2010

I believe it's 58923-60160-A0 if you have rear DVD
Thanks!

Trying to confirm online as most parts diagrams circle back to older version and pictures appear to show either a side panel or the some other plug. Did you pickup the oem plug and cover to complete it?

So I picked up the parts, put it together and now I'm at the point of actually tapping into existing wiring. This is all fairly new to me, which wires would someone recommend tapping into to supply power to this new outlet? I got the official Toyota one so I assume I'll be chopping off the end connector.

My intention was to tap into the 12v port at the center console.. but I haven’t done it yet.

Resurrecting this one a little...Still trying to figure out the FSM without the luck I'm looking for, can anyone tell what the wiring harness is that the 12v socket connects into on the back of the console box? I'd like to see if it's possible to replace it into a 2010....
