sounds good.

We will be camping at the Shir-roy campground Friday night, it looks like a nice place.

PM me your email and I'll send you directions to get to the trail and the trail map itself.

Hi. My name is Brendan and I am a friend of Nate and Jackie( rode shotgun w/Nate at the spring meet). I want to join Yankeetoys. I was going to to take my Samurai up sat to run w/nate. Nate's truck is still in need of a motor so I think he was gonna drive up and hopefully ride along with someone. Are you wheeling both days or just Sat?

I was hoping to do Swanzey on Sunday but not sure, I guess it depends on who else is going.

Ocean State Jeepers have reserved Swanzey for this weekend, however...

PostPosted: Wed Jul 28, 2010 5:35 am Post subject: Invitation to OSJ's August 20-22 camp-n-wheel at Swanzey

The membership of Ocean State Jeepsters would like to extend an invitation to join our August camp-n-wheel at Swanzey the weekend of August 20-22. Camping will be at the nearby Shir-Roy campground in Richmond (Shir-Roy Camping Area, Richmond New Hampshire). We will arrive at the campground Friday evening (the 20th) and start wheeling first thing Saturday morning. The plan for Sunday will depend on interest of the group. If any member of an NEA-affiliated club wants to join then contact me via private message.

I'd go to Shir_Roy campground before 9.

So did you guys go?

Yeah. was a good time. I showed up to Shir Roy at 8:30 and met up with some jeep guys. Walked around the site but couldn't find Tom. We ended up running Landslide. I was the only one to do the hard line on the right. That crew went on to do some more but I thrashed my rear U joint so wanted to get it back to Boston while it was light out.

Nice! Thats a pretty hard line. Nice little trails with a bunch of options to get up
that hill.

Next year, you might have noticed we have a hard time getting people to wheel!

Is it too early to get a roll call for the Fall Foliage Run:steer:?? Rain76King and myself will be camping at Wilgus State Park. (already booked) Definitely looking to flex the new lift and tires a lil bit before FG!

Bummer - I wonder why that is. Perhaps people move on to other things.

If I remember right moose mountain is a nice trail. If it is the one I'm thinking of didn't it get closed for several years?
I might be remembering the wrong mountain.

Hmm, maybe that is why people don't wheel as much - trails close - I know I've lost most of my good local ones. Private property changes owner, and the state decides what we used to use should be gated - apparently because it was never intended to be a road (but I think the real reason is they cannot drive and patrol it - or maybe there was a woodsy up it and somebody got hurt - or maybe both )

Dave, Moose Mtn if a fairly new trail. I think you are remembering is Cemetery Hill. It's been closed for years now. We do have quite a few new trails that have been cut in Swanzey that are a lot of fun.

You will love Wilgus State Park, my in-laws (full time RV'ers) are the work-campers there. It's the neatest state park I've ever seen. :)

I'll be there for the Foliage Run... assuming I ever get my rig inspected.
