Hi there all, new-to-me 2010 LX 570, in very good shape. Looked at many of these in the process of finding the right one, and saw this on a couple so I imagine it's a problem someone else must have run into. Please direct me to the right place if this has already been addressed, I couldn't find it in the forum search so apologies if it's a duplicate.

My AUX/USB door on the console next to the shifter remains in the open position. It can obviously still swivel, but whatever retention system (the soft-touch type buttons in the floor of that recess) doesn't seem to capture the door anymore. I've attempted to use a keyboard cleaner around those rubber buttons in case it was debris, but no joy. Just curious if anyone has run into this and found a fix. Thanks a lot for yalls time.

No solution as of yet. Looks like the most viable option is just replacing that door assembly. From a lot of poking and prodding, it seems like it’s a captive mechanism that’s going to take as much time and energy to find and fix, as it will to just replace the thing.

Do you know if the door assembly is available and a part(s) number?

Following. Been looking for the part# as well, but no luck so far...

Whole gray area just pops off. Remove the shifter knob, firmly lift up on the back where the ahc controls are, and then pop up the front. There's a clip that holds the wires closer to the assembly that needs to be undone to completely remove it, along with the plugs themselves. With it off you can see why it isn't latching.

Thanks. Is there a trick to removing the shifter knob,? Mine just free spins.

Love the write up and the attached vids. I'm trying to flip the center of the console over. How do you release the wiring from the console to lift it? Thanks.

All of the connectors are pretty easy to get to once you remove the leather side pieces, cupholder, shifter and pop up the panel. I've had mine out a few times and have never had any issue fully disconnecting..

Thank you tbisaacs.
I have a love/ hate relationship with plastics. But it’s installed and works great.

In addition to the above, my cigarette lighter door also doesn't close. Same problem, it opens after I push it in. Any solution? Thought of asking here itself. Much appreciated.

Yes I purchased a new housing for the usb / lighter. The spring to keep it closed seemed to have been worn out so a new one solved the problem.
