If you dont find someone, take it to a local machine shop. They are usually reasonable. I had a machine shop near me that charged $4/press. It was a Napa/Carquest, so they usually had the part too...

Did you completely take off the UCA to get it there?

Never done did a 3rd gen. not sure how you are going to get a press in a wheel well. So id imagine you would have to remove the upper arm. Have you shopped parts? Do you buy the BJ or the entire arm as a whole?

I was thinkin they bolted on. The ball joint that is. I could be wrong.

That's a mini I'm thinkin about......

Never mind.

Thought I knew what I was talkin about,
But as usual I didn't
AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Thankyouverymuch.

I have put no time into it, I thought something seemed just a little odd on the drive home. Looked up there real quick and the driver side upper isn't pretty. I figured if I 'm gonna do 1 I may as well do all of them?

You could take off the UCA and take it into a shop with a press or you can get/rent a ball joint press and do it on the truck.

Amazon.com: OTC 7249 Ball Joint Service Tool Set: Automotive

A google search of Ball Joint press will show you how to use the tool

Or you could pay a shop that already has the tool and any necessary torches and impact wrenches required to coax a ball joint that has seen 10 Chicago winters out.

There's also a tool you'll need to separate the ball joint from the knuckle. A pickle fork might get it, but you might need the tool

If you felt something "weird"....are you sure its a ball joint? by the time you can feel a ball joint they would have to be really toasted. I guess all Im saying is take your time and check the joints with a crow bar to see if they have play....dont just start throwing a bunch of parts at it. I knew this guy on PYS that did that and he......uhhhh nevermind....:grinpimp:

Not sure that was what felt odd on the drive or not? They got 130K hard miles on them and not looking pretty, if anything just preventative maintenance.

But yeah, upper drivers side looks bad

Well the boot looks bad, right? while that isnt a good thing it doesnt mean the BJ (hehe BJ) is bad. Im sure the boot is bad from the lift install, when we (I think I did your lift...) had to disco them.

Them non grease type BJs (he he BJs) have a neo-prene seal to hold the grease in when made, the boot is just there to keep dirt off the inner seal. check them first with the pry bar like John says
