Does this adapter also add Bluetooth streaming for audio from your phone?

Another option for BT connectivity. I decided to go with the NEO Car Audio unit, since I've used this brand before in a previous 2012 Chevy Tahoe, and it worked great. Install is very straight forward, and even comes with an external mic, that I mounted on the top left A-pillar. Website is below.

Neo Car Audio :: The leader in OEM integration.

I purchased the Model# BTY4V9

$220 shippped to my door.

The unit also has direct connect to your iphone with charging capabilities. I ran the charging cable to my phone through a gap to the right of the gear selector. Works perfect!

Hello,

Have you used the navigation on your android with this, and how well does it work?

Thanks,

Michael

Works great. I use spotify and waze on my android. With BT on, it just routes all audio to the sound system. It'll attenuate the music to give navigational instructions.

Though I've found that I can have waze exclusively use my phone speaker (Pixel XL) for navigational instructions. So it doesn't interrupt my my or my passengers enjoyment of the streaming BT music. I much prefer this, but it's more of a phone/software feature than it is related to the BT dongle.

Are you still using the itrip for your Bluetooth thanx in advance

Yes.

It is occasionally fiddly, requiring unplug/replug to connect unless your phone is on when you start the car.
Minor annoyance...but an annoyance.

Other than that, it works a charm.
