Hello,

I went to my local Toyota dealer today to pick up some parts for my 80 series. I happened to walk through the show room and saw a Salsa Red 2008 Land Cruiser with full option. What caught my eye was the -18,000 sign on the windshield. At first glance I thought it was 1,800 but my jaws dropped when I saw the three zeros.:eek::eek:

I'm tempted to get another cruiser but I'm afraid it will push my wife over the edge. :princess: My gripe about this cruiser is that it is red with beige interior which is not really my color plus they added those chrome wheels for 2K and tint for 800 bucks!

Anyway, I just took some pictures for the heck of it and told the sales man I'll sleep on it tonight. TfKB8

Those chrome wheels have to go, ask for $20K off because of the extra bling :) Other than that, it's a nice 200. Any miles on it... or is it brand new?

The chrome rims are terrible and the so called "$800" for tinted windows is a huge rip off. I would like to know what commands the $800 price tag. Fairfield toyota in California had a 2009 LC200 with $4800 22" rims on them. That truck looked like a joke. I believe it was on the lot for three months, until recently they finally put the stocks back on and it sold two days later. "AMAZING":whoops:

Tell them to take off the chrome wheels and throw on some steelies. With the $2000 savings, you could get a real colour. That Salsa red would be the last cruiser colour I would choose...in fact, if the LC200 only came in salsa red, I would buy a Highlander instead.

the guy is going to be afriad to say if he gets it after these comments

Heck no, print out this thread, take to dealer, and start hard negotiations. Bet he'll get a better deal!

Well since marc already said it.......

+1

Last week, I bought a 2009 Land Cruiser with upgrade package and floor mats for $10K off of the sticker price. The LC was gray with the gray interior, and I was the first person to drive it. There aren't many Land Cruisers available in the Chicago market, but those that are available appear to be moving very slowly.

Hello,

I stopped by the dealer again today and I borrowed the keys to check the mileage. It has 780 miles on it.

Personally I like the color, and the tinted windows. I think all 200's should come with the tinted windows in the rear... like the 100 series and other luxury SUV's. You should offer them $20K off and have them put on some stock rims... no chrome.
