Good to hear.

I should have joined you guys on that trail run. Maybe next year. It was great to meet Watermelon George and D'Animal very interesting and entertaining fellows.

So the roadside transfer case output fix held up OK?

I wonder how many guys are still laid up after this trip. :)

I resemble that remark!;p Saturday night Rodney kept the liquid courage coming until they had to scrape what was left of me off the ground....two or three times! Big thanks to Jerrod to helping me get back to my tent!

What an AWESOME trip. It was super cool caravaning with 909 up from the valley, even though we found out the hard way that there are two Denny's restaurants on two DIFFERENT freeways with the same named offramp!;p

Glad to returned the first of many favors to dhondagod by getting that boat anchor STAK transfer case out of the back of my 45.

Got to try one of the finer dining establishments in Chowchilla at D'Animal's suggestion.;p

Got to drool on more cool projects at FC Fabrication. Got to experiment some of Stockton's local mexican delights with Sine80, 909 and Calico. Actually managed to hold on to it as well. Also got the first of what will be many happy wrenching sessions on greenfox's junk. Glad I could help Ryan.;)

Awesome bkfst at Tara and Georg's Saturday while the rest of the crew arrived and I got a quick rundown on Portugese horseshoes from Watermelon Georg. :)

Thanks to everyone who was already in camp for saving me that really cool campspot. You know, the one with poison oak on three sides.

Really enjoyed meeting billybongo63 and his crew and was glad I could help nurse his rig back to life. Thanks for the Cascade Cruisers shirt and the microbrews.

Thanks to everyone at Saturday's early campfire [are we really allowed to talk about CAMPFIRES?] while I spent half an hour 'fixing' my brand new guitar, which apparantly doesn't take very well to elevations changes.

Thanks to Rodney for keeping me very intoxicated with quality booze that leaves no hangovers! I'm pretty sure I surpassed all previous levels of intoxication that night.

Good times running trail on Sunday with 45Kevin and thanks for following me back out. Now Virginia has seen what an old school 45 can do, billybongo's rig may be up for a few changes.

Cool spending the afternoon with 65fj45 and PismoJim. Hanging with the guys, drinking a brew and rebuilding ANOTHER carb. It doesn't get much better than that for me.:)

Awesome display of swag at the raffle this year! Glad to have had something worthy to contribute this time. Even happier to know it found a good home thanks to Kevin.:) Does anyone else think it's a coincidence that I ended up winning the bottle of Patron?

Absolutely PRICELESS performance by pardion at Sunday night's campfire. Truly one for the record books. 10 minute introduction to Stairway to Heaven that Monty Python couldn't have done any better. John, you sir are a PARTY ANIMAL!

I'm tired of typing. Still haven't unpacked. More later.

When John belted out that first verse of Stairway "Theres a lady with clothes" I knew we were in for a treat ;^ )

my favorite of john's singing was a cover of the eagles:

i need a lover that won't blow my brother

Did anyone see John Suthey from Santa Cruz?

He said he was going up on Friday and I never saw him, nor has he answered my PM's.

Yes, I saw him, he had a car full of family. IIRC, he was camping at Middle Creek. When i saw him he was coming back from running the trail out toward Hwy 4. I think he said they would be hanging at camp before leaving Sunday. You're right he didn't spend much time at the "official" camp.

Glad he made it and is okay.

Gosh, I hope that was a good first impression in person we made. :D

That was the second time I met the Watermelon.

The first first time was at Georg's breakfast on Saturday.

It was great to meet everyone. I have not had that much fun camping and 4 wheeling ever. Although this was my first non sponsored TLCA event.

My wife read this thread and saw the pictures and she wants to come next year. This means I will have to unweld the seat in my 40 so she can drive it since I will be in the 45 Extended cab.

Gunner and I caravaned back to Marin together and his transfer case held up just fine. He lives about 10 miles past me and he was cruisin' right along when I left the highway in Novato.

Good news, that could have been a nightmare. :)

Kudos to Mark for making a "washer" out of stiff wire.

I'll remember that fix.
