None really of the trail. It was hard enough dodging the boulders as they jumped out at me. I had a wonderful time and met a lot of wonderful people. I'm very glad I made the trip.
Rob - notice the lack of buffalo hat pics :-)

Trip Data. 1672 miles and 30 hours in the troopy...worth every hemorrhoid

I would like to thank Georg and the stockton crew for putting on a great get together. Very laid back and everyone feels welcome! I would also like to thank the sponsors for their generosity. I will post up my loot photos later.

Had a great time and nothing broke which was especially nice since the 40 had been in pieces since SnT 2004. Nice meeting everybody who went on the run on Sunday.

Found it. Besides, I have new Stihl hats in a choice of colors. I am hooked up. Glad to meet you and yours.

My pics will be a day or two in coming. I came home to a leaky water heater.

A few on the trail going out to Hwy4.

That is Sine80 in lead in the top pic.

Watermelon George was in the lead but stopped to coordinate traffice control when the group met traffic.

The second pic is after crossing the second water crossing.

Skillet was my trail partner and riding companion. On the return trip he was going to drive the trail back to camp.

It was getting late in the day and we did not want to miss the raffle so a bunch of us took the hwy around.

The top pic is Skillet in the 1976 FJ40.

The next pic is the 40 at a little over 8,000 ft elevation and still going up hill.

For those of you who do not know, Skillet has a 1973 FJ40. Thay have a different dash plaque than the 1976 FJ40.

Skillet wound up the 2F like he was imitating MACE driving his 40 with a turbo. I politely reminded him that my rig has a fourth gear.

He just laughed and hit Overdrive letting the engine come back to to 2,000rpm.

Since Skillet drove his 80 series to the event and to camp he really "Drove the 40" on the way back to camp.

I radioed ahead let Sine80 know that I was only running on 6 cylinders. LOL!

He and Watermelon George Pulled over and waited for me to catch up.
(I wonder when the last time a Train went through Markleeville.)

Here is a pic of everybody regrouping at the intersection so we did not loose anybody.
