2007+ 70 series vintage steel bumper conversion / lost page in the parts catalogue

I really dig the old steel bumpers.

Like so:

I would like to replace the plastic bumper on the newer 70 series with one of those steel bumpers.

Frans from the Netherlands pointed to a special edition of the soft top HZJ71 and HZJ79 (both RHD), which was produced for the pakistani army.

Those have the steel bumper from factory!

Check it out:

If you look closer, there is a kind of a plastic panel in between the grille and the steel bumper.
This is part of the special edition.

If you search the parts catalogue for the HZJ71R-KJMRS, you will find the parts page with the spare parts: brackets, screws and so on.

Up top it says "ILLUST NO. 1 OF 2" which implies that there would be a second page.
But there isn't.
Truly special this edition.

Anyone out there able to find the "lost page" with parts numbers for the bumper and that panel?

The steel bumper actually exists around, but the panel I just can't find.

If we find the panel it would make a super sweet vintage conversion kit for the newer 70 series:
- steel bumper
- panel
- brackets

There are no PNs for the bumper most likely due to the fact that those parts are not available for service parts support. Due to the special nature of that -KJMRS designation.

Maybe it comes with all the parts listed in the diagram from Japan and then the bumper is installed at whatever port it crosses.

The designation HZJ71R-KJMRS, which is the 1HZ J71 RHD soft top designation, offers three kinds of bumbers:
- the plastic shorter older one
- the plastic newer one "step type bumper"
- and the special edition vintage style steel bumper

For the first two plastic bumpers the second illustration is available, but for the steel bumper it is not.
I am suggesting strongly that there must be a second page for the part numbers for the bumper and the panel:

The figure 52-52 FRONT BUMPER & BUMPER STAY should have six pages, instead it has five.

Hence the parts are not listed in the catalogue. Doesn't mean they don't exist. (reference to the J7 LHD rubber floor mats)

So in all these figures I would have guessed to find the special edition panel which goes between the grill and the steel bumper.

This part is missing for a great vintage steel bumper conversion kit.

Call a Toyota dealer in Pakistan and talk to them.

Good chance – with a part number.

Without the number and without knowing if there may be also special brackets needed on the back side of that panel … not so good of a chance.
But I will try. At least we got some good pics.

Illust No. 2 of 2 comes up as a bumper guard.

Personally, I think the steel bumper looks low. I would mount it above the frame rails and call it a day.It's not much of a bumper anyway.

This is the page I was looking for.
Makes sense to have the bull bars on the 2nd page.

From other discussions I figured it seems the skirt is made in-house with the pakistani army or some 3rd party there, so not a OEM Toyota part after all.

I will either do as suggested by you @hoser or will ask my welder or a body parts pro to forge it for me according to the pics and so.
