You might want to keep the weird oval thing you removed from the frame on the passenger side.

From everything I have seen removing them can cause a vibration.

Keep up the good work. The rig is coming along nicely.

Thank you, not much left to be done. Maybe just a couple of bumpers ;)!! The darn thing is taking my 80 funds away. I came across a few readings on that thing and mostly came away with that no one has had issue. I've yet to notice anything as well. I put the bolts back in the frame and still have it just in case. Thanks for mentioning though.

Nothing to add "build" wise, but did hit this Friday night...

Don't get to do much to the 100, mostly because of finances, so it's fun to do small stuff that let's me turn a wrench. Courtesy of @LandCruiserPhil bringing the mud flap delete. Amazing fit, perfect. Leaving it raw, can be the bling.

Up next to install for our summer trip is his attic rack.

Turned out to be a pretty productive weekend, counting today. Got my Wits End fridge wire re-routed properly through the firewall (had it rigged down the door jam last year, too long to explain). This was the biggest pain ever. Removing enough brackets with the electrical boxes/computers in the upper foot well to get to a clear spot was a bunch of awesome, especially in 110 degree garage. Still couldn't get one of the nuts on a bracket because of the close confines, maybe try again later. Secured enough though with one for now. First drilled hole was right in the back of a bracket stud so went a little further to the NE and still had enough room for the step bit and the boot. Since it was so awesome I ran some extra wire just in case for future adds.

Wow whats next?

Well haven't posted yet but still have to add that last weekend I got some puddle lights installed. To your question however hopefully AHC fluid flush, have had that for a month. Swap out the dual USB I have now for the Blue Sea 4.8A one...then a little visit to CBT for pre-road trip inspection.

Today was a good Father's Day...wasn't on my original to do list but thinking of our drive ahead next week, and remember kicking myself for not doing it last year, went ahead with the Vais Tech SL3B bluetooth module install. As easy as advertised by other members. Still have to get familiar with the controls but wife can do that from her phone as we go. Nothing to add from install notes except it never fails things don't go back into place quite right, bottom "wood grain" piece doesn't quite go in as far as it did on the right side so will take it apart later to see what the ??. Also the head unit wasn't easy so not sure that is in quite right.

Only thing that I haven't seen mentioned that I came across is the volume was way up in the 50's to get a good sound level. You have to turn it up on the phone and adjust volume knob as you do that to get a good normal level. Maybe common sense to some.

The other thing from my install is to do get to the settings you're to push the "scan" button fast 8 times according to the instructions. Mine took less than than, maybe 4?

I know it's been shown in other threads but this box cracks me up...

I got the one on Amazon that came with the 'free' tools.

Pieces to remove as most know but more pictures are fun.

I believe it's '04-'07 LX's use the 20 pin connector.

Other's I read about put it in this area and it really does seem to be the best place if you don't need instant access. The vent would be really easy to remove anyway if you did. I hooked a USB charging cable in at this time and ran it behind the right vent for now until I figure out where I want to have it. May not need it anyway having a dual USB already but good to know it's there just in case.

This actually happened a few weeks ago...adding my spin to puddle light install. Nothing original, thanks for help others such as @Ramathorn15 and @screendoor (connectors) for help and inspiration.

I found some alluminum 90 deg brackets on eBay, had to hack them up quite a bit to meet my needs. Nothing pretty as I don't have the exact right tools, just used my sawzall. Do have a small drill press however which helped. Have a little too much extra wiring but didn't want to be short. Good for now but I may clean it up sometime later.

I went with smaller LEDs and installed them upside down so the light would be more subtle and look evenly distributed on the ground. A little hard to tell in lit parking areas and streets but I was ok with that. Work well when dark.

Had another great road trip that's becoming an annual thing. I coach basketball and we take our teams to Sandy, UT for a week and then we continue to my parents farm in North Dakota, try to see a few things on the way there and on the way back home.

Total trip miles was 3318 running from Chandler, Sandy, through Grand Teton, Yellowstone, Montana and of course into ND. The way back we went through Western SD, into Casper, Wy and on into Grand Jucntion then South on the 550 through Ouray and Silverton to Durango. Final stretch through Western NM and on into AZ.

Overall gas mileage was 14.321 which isn't bad. There's going to be a worst tank especially loaded down, cargo carrier on top, through a Wyoming headwind. That tank was 11.863, now I know guys get worse towing so I won't complain. Best tank was 17.613 which was mostly the stroll through the parks.

89N in Arizona and into Utah is a great drive. Ready to roll...
