Hey everyone, long time lurker thats shopping for a 80 or 100. Wanted to get some opinions on this one I am looking at, listed at 21k but there are some red flags

Saw this one posted locally and went to see it on Saturday since they havent put photos up on the website

1 owner Carfax and decent mileage at 139k. Drove just fine.

The interior was like a raccoon had been living in it. Scrapes and scuffs all over the trim and seats. Not unlivable condition but I was just confused why they wouldnt detail it. Plus everything was kind of sticky...unsettling.

Exterior the front flares were popping off the body at the front edge, the bumper was askew and there was some dents on the driver front fender. Looks like the front end collided with something at some point, and this is not on the Carfax.
Are these red flags enough to move on to a different LC? What would you value it at?

I'd suggest you move on to another. At $21k (plus fees) you'll be able to find another in better condition.

Thanks, not many LC with the 5speed transmission in Florida for some reason, I've been monitoring the market for a few months. This was basically my perfect LC and its only 6 miles away - 2003-2007, under 150k miles, Red or Blue, Nav with Backup camera and no AHC. If its just what you want could you look over that damage bumper and interior?

Are the earlier 100s with the 4speed really that much of a downgrade as I have read?

They just put up some official photos, interior as well, so you can see what its like.

If you are in Florida and driving on flat land I would say the four-speed would do you just fine.

Yeah mostly in FL West Coast, thats good to know. All i've read is that its worth it to get the 5speed. Guess my search continues haha.

What're you planning to do with the truck? That will determine how much advantage the 5spd would have for you.

I like the LC/LX for its reliability and build quality, along with the handsome design and luxury it provides.
Daily Driver (I only go 5000 a year thanks to a short commute), hauler of stuff, trailer occasionally. Would like to road trip out west to the Grand Canyon / desert and be able to camp from a vehicle (also for football tailgates at Auburn). Would not be modding much or doing any extreme offroading.

For a non-built vehicle that will spend most of it's like in the flatlands I think you would be just fine with a four-speed. With a built truck, heavy loads, bigger tires on hilly or mountainous terrain the five-speed becomes nicer to have.
