I have a 2006 LC. I'm thinking of buying the BT35-TOY Bluetooth to stream music mainly. The vehicle already has handsfree calling of course, so do I have to install the mic that comes with it? I would think not since I already have HF calling stock. I assume that I can hook it up to the sat radio spot in the back of the unit. Sorry to start a thread on this, but I couldn't find anything about the mic hookup anywhere. I don't want to mess with it if I don't have to.

Just installed the BT35 sans mic. I've never found a vehicle hands free that sounded anything other than a tin can so I didn't bother to install the mic, nor do I use the OE hand free. Hard to complete with the quality from a headset.

The BT35, BTW, is a very elegant solution. Don't expect too much in the way of screen display (i.e. album art, playlist info, etc.). But from an 'it just works' perspective its fantastic. If the phone is in the car it's connected and ready to stream. Hit the Disc button to switch to MD changer and you're off and running. Up/down button controls tracks. DVD changer still works as separate device.

Installed it in my truck sans mic. I use the integrated bluetooth for phone and the BT-35 for music. Works really well

Can you guys show pics of the install? Thanks.

So I went to order the USASPEC BT35-TOY from Crutchfield today and their salesperson told me it would not work in an '04 LC with factory NAV and JBL head unit. However, he did not know why it didn't work. Based on info in MUD, I think I'm ok and it will work fine for streaming Pandora from an iPhone to the head unit.

as I have an '03, I am interested in a response to sandroad's question...

Same setup I have in my '06 and I can confirm it works just fine. You will have to give-up one of your aux devices (IE satellite or CD changer) for the BT35.

Does your '04 have factory Bluetooth?

That explains why Crutchfield says it's incompatible. I don't mind giving up my unused CD changer. My head unit has factory Bluetooth, but it's only use is phone calls on my '04. It won't stream audio for music.

Same for me. All I want is to be able to stream Pandora/Songza. Sounds like this might be the ticket.

Does anyone know how this compares to the GROM Audio BT3-TOY? Seems like both devices will do the same basic things, install the same way, and cost the same.... Any significant differences?
