2006 100 Series -BF Goodrich question

Sounds like a 285/60/18 is your tire size. I may be wrong but isn't a wider tire better for sand? I know it's better for highway.

X2 or you could get a stock size. You have a LX look at 275/60/18 Brigstone Dueler Alanza's

Recently bought a 2006 LC with OE 18" wheels. No lift (yet - AHC lift in a coupla weeks). I had BFG AT 275/65/18, which fit fine. I just sold those and today installed BFG AT 285/65/18. These also fit absolutely fine - as many have said here - with no lift. I like the 285s.
