For Sale: 2005 Lexus LX 470.
140,XXX miles.
VIN: JTJHT00W653550854
Description:
I am moving overseas to Germany where vehicles are a bit smaller and have decided to sell my truck. I bought the truck in 2016 after my 2006 Land Cruiser was totaled following a rear end collision on the interstate and am the second owner. I bought the truck in Ohio and it was previously owned in Pennsylvania. I lived in Utah before Ohio where I was always in the backcountry and my Land Cruiser took me there. After I moved to Ohio and the LC was totaled here, I decided to get something matching to move over the roof rack I had recently bought. As such, the LX 470 was never used for its intended purpose, however it sits ready for any adventure you wish to take it on! I've tried to portray the vehicle as accurately as possible so please let me know if you have any questions.
The truck will come as pictured with TRD pro wheels, BFG KO2 tires, Ham and CB radios, sliders, rack and lights. It is in fantastic condition. The interior looks almost off the showroom floor with a bit of wear on the driver side bolster. All electronics and mechanicals work perfect. I bought the car with 125k miles and have driven it 15k over my ownership.
Maintenance: All maintenance was regularly performed with the water pump and timing belt replaced at 110,000. At 125K miles I had the CV axles and wheel bearings replaced. I have the parts that were replaced in case a trail spare was needed, and they will come with the truck if you want them.
The Truck comes with:
17” TRD Wheels with BFG KO2 tires on them and a matching spare
Cruisin Off Road Sliders with rear kick-out for AHC vehicles.
HID headlights from the Retrofit source.
Gamviti Roof Rack with: Expo ++, Additional mounting plates behind the front ones, Sunroof cutout, 6 Light tabs, 10 Gussets, All the towers and hardware, Full Grid, Powder Coating, Drop Down Bar
The box on the roof rack is the electronics box containing the relays for each of the roof lights. The 7 switches in the center console area next to the AHC control the lights in the respective positions. The front center switch turns on the front facing light bar and the switch on the back right controls the light in the same position on the roof rack. All lights can be individually controlled and the switches only send the signal voltage to the box on the roof.
The truck has a front light bar and front and middle lights. I never installed rear facing lights as I couldn’t get the position correct. I wanted the lights to not stick up but be able to point down and provide camp site or rear lighting. The waterproof connectors are ready to be connected and the appropriate switch will turn on the light.
Weathertech 1st and 2nd row mats.
The truck has the Nightview display that projects onto the windshield.
Radios
The Cobra 75 WXST CB radio has a quick disconnect for the handset right next to the far-right cigarette lighter. The CB antenna on the rear left of the vehicle has a quick disconnect to remove the antenna.
The HAM radio is a Yaesu FT-8900R with a matching CR-8900A antenna. The antenna has a break-over to lower it so it doesn’t get damaged on garages or trees. I have a small quick fist clamp to hold the antenna in place when it is lowered. The speaker for the radio is in the garage door holder in front of the map lights.
There are two small lights in the rear tailgate that are connected to the roof light so when the lift gate is open they provide light in the rear of the vehicle. There is a switch by the latch release to turn off the lights.
All interior lights were replaced with LEDs.
I installed a GROM TOYNB3 Bluetooth module so you can stream media to the radio and take phone calls.
The battery is oversized group 34 with a custom bracket to hold it in place. Please see the pictures. I have a dual battery kit I bought for the Land Cruiser, but the Lexus has AHC which occupies the space the extra battery would have gone. The kit will come with the vehicle just in case you want to do something with it.
Problems:
It has a rusty bottom, however I had it treated by Ziebart in 2016. The gas tank cover is pretty rusty and so is the front plate, but the mechanicals under the vehicle are in great condition.
Paint looks fantastic, but there are some rock chips in the front. A few small scuffs on the side that don’t catch a fingernail. I tried to take a picture, but they didn’t come out.
There is some bubbling on the chrome plastic film covering some of the trim on the rear bumper.
The switch to the back right window is a little loose.
Please let me know if you have any questions!
