I'm looking to buy my first 100 Series and I'm leaning towards the 2006 or 07 LX470. My budget is $20K or less. I've researched AHC and all of the maintenance checks to look for. Does anybody have any other advice? Ideally I'll swap the AHC out for a Slee 2" lift with UCA's down the road. But for now I just want a truck to go surf, bike and camp in the Sierras where you need some 4wd to access. I'll probably throw a set of BFG K02 275/70/18 or 16's on depending on what comes with car.
I've pretty much become obsessed with these LC's and LX's and have been living on this site looking at forums. If anybody has any sound advice or could offer any input on the ones I'm looking at I would appreciate it greatly. I've found some with perfect maintenance history but slightly higher miles and some with a bit of mystery to them with far less miles and options I'm not sure I want like night vision. Also will this obsession with these trucks fade away at any point?
