Well, the mid-life crisis must have set in on Becky and me. No, actually, the kids both start driving this month so the wife and I are now free to buy something exciting...and that we did. A 2006 Mazda Rx8 GT. That means our mint condition Tacoma is up for immediate sale.
Here's the details:
2004 Tacoma 4WD
TRD Package (with rear locker)
Sliding Rear Window
(Paid $23,200 plus tax and license, on 12/31/04)
Aftermarket options:
Donohoe Coilovers (up front...set to 2.5" above stock)
Deaver 8-pack Springs (added 2" above stock to the rear...truck sits more level for a better look)
Bilstein shocks x4
(Paid ~$2000 including installation)
(I also have a diff-drop that's included should you reset the Hoes to 3" lift)
BFG AT KO's x5 (32")(About 5K miles on them....they're perfect too)
(Paid ~$1000)
Window tinting (limo all over, except for the front windows which is legal)
(Paid ~$150)
Rhino Lining spray-in bed liner (black)
(Paid ~$300)
Total investment of $26,650 plus taxes, license, and various installations
Condition:
41,225 miles
Absolutely mint condition
Never been 4-wheeled (the website pics were taken along Carr Canyon Road which is sutable for a car...short of our picture "poses")
Mobil1 synthetic run for it's life, all maintenance up-to-date.
New rear brake pads just put on
Driven by Becky, and she baby's the truck
Basically, this Tacoma is like showroom condition, only upgraded and improved in every way. The on-road ride is far improved over stock. The off-road ride is trail-ready and offers increased performance as well. We will ask top-dollar for this vehicle due to all of the upgrades and the condition. This suspension is the same that won the Baja 1000 road race.
This is a real find for a daily driver and/or the avid off-roader. Yes, this is a USED vehicle, however the Tacoma is the most reliable and least-to-age vehicle in Toyota's lineup. It was a tough decision for Becky to make (selling this), though in the end I know she'll be happy. We have the two Land Cruisers, so having a fun car to drive only will help to mix things up.
If the vehicleis not sold over the next week or so, it'll hit eBay.
Selling price...$22,000
KBB/Edmunds Private Party pricing for this model (IF STOCK) is $19980. With the ~$3500 of add-on's we have on the truck, we're pumping the price up only half that value (to the $22K mark). If it doesn't sell via forums soon, we'll eBay the truck.
More detail pics coming. For now, here are the posers:
