New poster here. I have been reading this forum for over a year which has been how long I have been trying to get my Auto Height Control issues resolved. I have done a ton of reading on troubleshooting. In a nutshell I began having issues where the front of the vehicle appeared to be in "HI" mode (while the light indicated it was in "N"). The ride was very bouncy and the truck doesnt seem to level out. Its as if the front of the truck is in HI all of the time. It does lower when in low but this appears to me to be the actual "N" position for the front. Through research I assumed it was a bad height control sensor. I have replaced all three height control sensors, doing first the front L, frontR, and the rear. and there was no improvement. The vehicle seems to "function" fine electronically in that it will raise and lower per the lights inside the vehicle and will return to "N" once the driving speed is reached. When the new height control sensors did not solve the problem I changed the AHC fluid, checked fuses, and relays to no avail. Recently I purchased 4 new globes/accumulators and installed them today. Unfortunately this did not solve the problem. The truck seems to think it is in "N" while the front is sitting in the "High" position. I have disconnected the battery and have cleared codes. I do not have tech stream. The Pump seems to run. My mechanic suggested installing the landcruiser (non AHC) suspension parts. I have 255,000 miles on the rig and love it. I want to keep the AHC. The local Lexus Dealer stated that they would not troubleshoot it and will install all new AHC parts/components for $4,500. I cannot afford this. Today after installing the globes if I put the vehicle in "low" the light blinks and the truck seems to lower but does not go to have a solid "L" light (continues to blink "L"). As a side note I had a weird occurrence within the last week. I was driving at about 20 miles per hour and the front left and right rear brakes seemed to activate for 1 or two seconds and it felt like the anti-lock brakes pumped ( I was not pushing the brake pedal). This was prior to installing the globes. I have also had the traction control beep at random while on dry roads at low speeds. This has not happened in some time. I have also had several dash lights come on at random and stay illuminated at startup and later go off. These weird instances seem to occur after it rains. My concern is the AHC, but could these things in their totality indicate some electrical problem related to/in conjunction with the issues with the AHC? If anyone has any advice for next steps I would greatly appreciate it. Can a wheel speed sensor impact the AHC? Thank You if anyone has advice. I have read it could be the leveling/gate valve assembly. I plan on checking and cleaning the connections tomorrow.
