2003UZJ100 key programmming , valet key only (1 Viewer)

Hey Guys- Finally solved my VALET key only issue with my 2003 UZJ100 Landcruiser
Had lost master keys and only had grey valet key . Which wouldn’t allow me to put car into programming mode for key or remote
NB This applies to 2003 onward with the 4D68 transponder chip
Spoke w locksmiths who quoted $500 to $1000 and was told they may only be able to duplicate another valet ( really wanted master so I could do programming myself )
Considered removing and virginising IC900 immobiliser chip but wasn’t confident
Decided to give this $28 OBD key programmer off ebay a try
Got two TOY48 keys cut w blank 4D68 chips from my valet key
Followed instructions and 5 minutes later successfully had two brand new fully functional master keys
NB - If all keys lost , keys can be cut from key code on side of passenger door lock cylinder
Posting just in case anyone else faces same issue

thanks for posting, i've always heard that losing the master is a big thing to avoid, great to know it's not massively expensive if that happens.

The immobilizer on 2003 models can be reset using Techstream. Super easy.
