I'm trying to help a buddy find a 100 and came across this LX 470 on CL with only 62k miles for $19.9k:

Used 2003 Lexus LX 470 for Sale in Longmont, CO 80501 Victory Motors of Colorado

We went up to Longmont to check it out today, and we were a bit disappointed. Is far from perfect, but the right owner willing to put some work into it could have a really low mile truck. The high level stuff: seems like it was used to tow a lot from the scuffs around the hitch. Back bumper has damage on both corners, and front end looks like the owner loved to tailgate trucks dropping sand on the freeway. The paint isn't bad (maybe a respray) but the headlights aren't very clean. The driver rear AHC "spring" made a lot of squeaking noises while driving and cycling the suspension. It has night vision, but the console is cracked all around. The windshield is also cracked pretty good. The body panel on the tailgate in between the tail lights is missing all of the clips, and the only thing holding it on is the license plate bracket/screws. The interior carpet was clean, but the seats show more wear than I'd expect for the miles (but maybe not for the year). Overall we would have been interested for a few grand less, but not at full price. They seemed willing to work a little on the price maybe a grand, but we passed. It could be worth it to the right buyer purely because of the low miles though.

I don't know about this particular truck but there are a lot of Land Cruiser in the Denver/Boulder area that are from the East Coast including a couple from this dealership I looked into a little while ago. Check the carfax for where it's been. I'm from Vermont and just spent the last 6 months looking at Land Cruisers all over the country for a rust free one (finally found one outside of Boulder - picking it up in two weeks!).

I cut a deal over the phone with these guy's, based on clean no rust 01LC. Drove the 50 miles to find an over priced rust bucket from IL. They tried to convince me they get these from a Boulder Dealer, and that they're CO trade-ins. I'll not likely make the drive again to this lot!

BTW: I'm just starting restoration on a 2006. Currently in the cleaning & inspecting phase. Looks like it's got good bone and should turn out really nice. Bring your buddy if he's interested in an 06! It's the 06 in my signature "Snowy".

Thanks for posting. I was planning to take a look at it, but suspected that it might be more like what you found than what you (or we) were hoping for.
