Hello,
Does anyone know if a 16" TRD wheel will fit on a GX470?
I currently have the factory 17" and want to try a TRD wheel.
Will a 16" fit over the brakes or do I need to stick with a 17"?
Is the factory 17" Tacoma TRD wheel the same offset as a GX?

Thanks

Not unless you grind the caliper. Factory offset is +25.

thanks for the the reply. I'll look for a set of 17" wheels.

I'm going to pick your brain for some info. I have had the GX for one week now having traded my Jeep for it. It will now be my DD. I'm parking my FJC for the Ohio winter to try to keep the miles off it and keep it clean. The FJ 80 will be for hard core wheeling. The GX has 153,000 on the clock and is basically stock except the PO installed a new stereo/MP3 and did convert the air bag to a spring set up. I pulled a car fax to see who did the work but could not find it listed or a timing belt change. The PO did regular maintenance, but maybe did an independent shop for TB and springs. You have the same year so I've heard the 4.7 in a non-interference motor. I'm planning to get the TB done soon. How many miles can these go without changing? I'm getting new BFG KO'2 265 70 17's. I'm assuming this will fit with out rubbing or mods and hoping the spare tire will fit underneath. How much 4Runner/FJC stuff will fit on the GX like springs, shocks, skid plates and other accessories? Any other info on this particular year would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Check under the hood on the body for a TB sticker. Since that is the main maintenance concern, there is normally a sticker affixed when the work is done. Mine didn’t show up in CarFax or in the Lexus records, but was done at a Toyota dealership at 91k. It should be done every 90k.

No sticker under the hood. I took it to the local Lexus dealer to get the Car Fax, and they were the dealer that did most of the maintenance.
The guy told me they would not have done the spring conversion-only the air bag replacement. So I'm wondering if the TB was done also but just not reported to Car Fax. We looked all under the hood, but no sticker. I'm getting lousy FM reception on the replacement Kenwood unit. Where do they hide the antennas on the GX?

All 120 platform 03-09 are 100% compatible
All 150 platform will fit with slight adjustment. The front lower control arm shock mount need to be spread wider or the shock sleeve ground a bit narrower. Some also say the rear shock mount hole need to be drilled larger but some say llit would bolt right up.

Front Skid plate are compatible but the rear are a bit different due to wheelbase different with FIC. 100% compatible with 4Runner Same as slider.

I think it's embedded in the rear side window. Not 100% sure.

Thanks for all the info from everyone. It will help me get this set up to do some forest trails and mild wheeling. Calling for some snow in Ohio tonite. Let the fun begin.
