Wanted 2003-2007 LC or LX470 TN,AL,GA,NC,MS

I'm finally ready to bite the bullet and grab an 03-07 LC or LX470. I'd like to stay within the states listed in the subject so that it's within a couple of hundred miles. Have cash in hand and ready to buy.

I'd like to stay at 15k or less to be honest, but might go higher for an especially clean low mileage 03-05. Seems like the 06-07's tend to go higher than that most of the time.
I'm cool with 180k miles or less. I'd be willing to go up to low 200k's if the price was right and it was clean. This will mostly be a rig I use to take the family camping, go kayaking, tow the Kawasaki UTV, haul the dogs, etc. I won't be driving it daily, so higher mileage is okay if the price and condition is right.
 
So, I found an '06, Sand Dollar Pearl, 100k miles, dealer maintained. AHC works, meticulous inside and out.
Seller wants $19,800. He's not budging. What do y'all think? Is this a good deal? I've seen some 100+k mile 200 series for about 5-6k more, which obviously have more features, but ????

The price is more than I would pay for a 100 bc you are dangerously close to a 200 and LX570 which is what I would get if spending $20k

That's exactly how I feel. My budget is pretty flexible and I could spend 25k if I wanted, but then I'm in that 200 series area. I just feel like I see a lot of 100's in pretty good condition in that 130-150k area for 14.5-16k. Thanks for the gut check.
 
Found an 05 LX470 with 95k miles. Asking 16,900. Got some photos of the undercarriage as it's a northern car.
Here is the link to the photos. What do y'all think? Too much rust? Undercoating bad?

Looks like a lot of black stuff covering up rust to me, however its tough to tell in pics. Is this thing in a location where you can get hands on?

It's about 4 hours away. If we had any members near there (Atlanta) that wouldn't mind taking a look, that would be fantastic. I could always call around to find a reputable shop to have a look at it, but wouldn't know where to start in that area.
 
Not to jack your thread, but... Why a 03-07 LC or LX470? Is there something concerning about low miles in the 98 - 02 models?
 
Interior changes and 5 speed are the two major differences. I’m in Ky and currently in Alabama looking for one. Not easy to find.
 
You should easily find one now. I just picked up this one in Atlanta today so there should be 500 pop up in the area now. 145k 04 470. Very very clean and made a new friend with the transaction. Good luck.

Looks great! My favorite color as well. Mind if I ask what you paid? One popped up in Tuscaloosa last night. I called the dealership today as they had it listed at 16,500. When I called they tell me that they've raised the price to 19,500. Jokers. 200 series are starting to pop up at 24-25k now.
 
I called on that one at the Mercedes dealership this morning as well. I was on my way to look at it when the lady did it was sold over the phone. I will pm you what I paid.

Sounds about right to me. That is some nice low miles on an 06. Sounds babied in a great way.

Hi Taipan...The truck looks great, but that rust scares the hell out of this guy who has had nothing but southern vehicles his whole life. Especially at that price point. I know nothing about those rust treatments, but I've always been skeptical. Especially once the rust has already set in. Has the rust advanced over the last two years since you had the treatment done? Also, why didn't they sand it down before applying the treatment?
