I'm (begrudgingly) selling my 2002 Landcruiser. The Cruiser is located in the Dallas, Texas area. I’m seeking $13,995. I’ve attached various pictures to this listing (maximum allowed by site). I have numerous additional pictures for those who are seriously interested in the truck.
The truck has 126,995 miles. I bought her back in October of 2007 with 71,599 miles. I’m the 3rd owner (Carfax shows that I’m the 4th owner, but the “2nd owner” was just a dealer that held it in inventory for 28 days).
The truck is painted Atlantis Blue Mica and has the Ivory interior, 3rd row of seats, alarm system, roof rack, 6-disc compact disc autochanger and tilt/slide power glass moonroof. The interior is in very good condition, including all of the leather seats (see pictures and below comments). I’m a non-smoker and have clean title in hand.
I’m selling only because I bought a new SUV (well, at least ‘newer’ one—a used 2014 model) several months ago. It was a private-party transaction, and trade-in option wasn’t available. That actually seemed ok as I’d rationalized that I’d still drive the Cruiser. I spent a lot of time searching for the ‘right’ Cruiser back in 2007, and I still love this truck. Well, reality has set in and I’m not really driving her. It seems a waste not to let someone else appreciate her, so she’s for sale.
The good:
- I’ve been diligent about maintaining my Cruiser, with scheduled maintenance and required service work performed by Toyota dealerships (Toyota of Plano for the last 6 years since I’ve lived in the Dallas area);
- New front exhaust pipe and O2 sensor (exhaust had to be replaced related to replacement of related O2 sensor failure) in May 2016;
- Emergency parking brake cable system replaced (cable snapped) in June 2016;
- Replaced all four tires with Michelin LTX M/S tires just 5,000 miles ago in November 2015
- Replaced front and rear brake pads, and had all four rotors resurfaced in November 2015
- Replaced power steering rack and pinion and power steering high pressure hose in August 2014
- New carpet floormats throughout, including in rear cargo area
In addition, I had the stereo system significantly upgraded at a professional sound installation shop (around $3K). The Cruiser is now running with an Alpine amp (PDX 4-150), Boston Acoustics speakers with heatsinks (Pro Competition) and upgraded wiring.
The not so good:
- The GPS system doesn’t work (really no great loss in this day and age). To be clear, the touch display works perfectly (see pictures), as does the 6-disc compact disc autochanger;
- There’s a small burn mark in rear cargo area, though (due to cables on portable battery getting loose and crossing one another);
- There’s a dent in the rear bumper on the driver side of the car (see picture).
