i bought this bike brand new in 2003 so it's only had one owner. used to commute to work on it so it's got 25k miles on the clock, most of which were during 2004, the rest was recreational riding. the bike has always been garages, never been down, never fallen over, never stunted. it's in excellent shape. i've done all the scheduled maintenance using only oem honda filetrs and fluids. tires are in great shape, replaced the battery with a gel cell and the seats are corbins front and rear. i have the original seats to go with it as well. besides that, the bike is all stock and un-molested. very 'friendly" powerband and comfy for a street bike.
only reason i'm sellig it is my two week old baby boy......

located in stockton CA. asking $6k or would be willing to trade for a clean fj40 ( as in absolutley no rust ).

Hey is that on 88?

bump
ken

Nice bike being a Honda you'll get another 20k miles out of it easily

yup, that pic was taken on hwy 88. i bought this bike because i had a cbr600 f2 years ago and it was a great bike. uper reliable and pretty comfortable for a street bike. then i had a gsxr1100r and it was heavy, would'nt turn and was un-comfortable. so i went back to the honda and it's been extremely reliable. i have had to replace nothing that's not a "wear" item.

would be interested in a trade for a forklift and some cash as well.

Nice bike Dad!

I stoped riding for the same reason, 19 years ago...

Here's a bump for you.

yeah, it's great 'sanity maintenance". maybe when i get to be an old fart, if i make it that far, i'll get one of those 3 wheeled goldwing jobbers and ride it into the sunset, or off the end of a long pier, depending on my physical/psychological condition at the time!

ttt

i am willing to do some horse trading, i just don't ride this bike anymore and i'm not hard up for the cash. so let me ko wwhat you have.

looking for:

clean 40

any 45

forklift

shop equipment

who knows what else........

bump! i just got a forklift but i'm still open for trades.......

anybody wanna trade for a running/driving fj40?!

just pulled it out of the garage and washed it; tried to start it but the battery was'nt up to snuff so i put a brand new gel cell in it. fired right up, took it for a little spin. fun as usual.......

rode it a little yesterday; somebody buy this already! :frown:

Selling toys now it as tough as I've ever seen it. Good luck and here's a bump for ya.

8 months ago I sold a 2002 GSXR1000 that the ads could read the same 'cept mine had only 7K. I ended up only being able to get $6000 with a ton of extras like pit bull stands ($275new), and Arai RX7RR helmet ($700new) a Vanson jacket ($500new), 50% Michelin's, an extra set of new Michelin's, blah blah blah....all for $6K. Your price may still be a little on the heavy side for a bike that is now 3 generations old. What further makes the values of older CBR's even less is there are lots of second-generation CBR1000's from 2005-2007 still on dealer floors that are being firesold. Here's a place in Chat, TN where you can get a spanking new '07 CBR1000 for $8783 OTD!!! We've bought lots of bikes here.

Nice bike...cash is always good but at some point after selling it you may think you'd wish you kept it. BTDT.
