Any suggestions as to where I can get aftermarket rims that fit mine? Can’t seem to find many options and American wheel and tire can’t either.

Not aftermarket, but I’m very happy with my 18” Tundra takeoffs. Major improvement vs the origina OEM chromes that came with my 2001 LX.

from my research i found the below:

options are keep 16" which provide great 33" tire options and lots of sidewall protection. Refinish them with rattle can or powdercoat for good looks.

Next best option are 16" scs f5 wheels direct bolt on.

Next best option is 18" tundra wheels

Good to know thank you both. Wasn’t thinking about 18s bc I don’t have a lift but will definitely look at the tundras and f5. Was thinking the 18s would require a lift.

18” Tundra wheels, no spacers. N height setting.

The F5 doesnt come in 17” as mentioned above. The F5 in 16” is a direct fit but anything else from SCS requires machining of the hub

Tundras look good. With 18s being an option I think there are more after market that will fit. Haven’t ruled out 16s either. Hard decision. Thanks

I was worn down buy my refusal to spend $200/ wheel to get exactly what I thought I needed. Ultimately, 18” wheels cover some 90 % of my needs. For the remaining 10%, I can be more selective on line, and drive a little more slowly.

Rattle canned lx470 wheels on my 99 LC. I like them. I was going to go F5s but these were way cheaper and I actually like the looks a lot. I still have my stocks on radials or long instance pavement trips.

I just bought OEM Tundra takeoffs, brand new for my '02 LX470 and really like them. I can find lot's of Tundra sets so a buyers market here in the Bay Area, I do haggle a bit as well. Also found a full spare on a steelie rim thats never hit the ground. brand new rims with brand new Michellin AT/2's. I'm stoked

My Tundra wheels were brand new takeoffs. Got them for only a shade more than a set of the tires would have cost on their own. I popped the Toyoya logo off the center caps and replaced with a free set of Lexus emblems from my local dealer.

O I like the Lexus badging idea. My problem with the Tundra center caps is they wont fit over the dust cap on the front so looking for a mod to pop these on. I did see some TRD stick on logos for the center caps but the "L" is perfect.

I was able to use the Tundra center caps by hammering the dust caps flat plus a little bit of grinding on the back of the center cap. Front wheels only. The center caps went right on the rears with no mods.

Ok so just tap the dome flat with a hammer? Is that advisable? Suppose as long as the seal dosen't come out of round should be fine?

I have 18" Tundra wheels on my 98 LX470. Bought the wheels for $50 (total, all 4) and they had 50 miles on them. I didn't have to mod the seal dome. I did have to mash the little spring things on the center caps for the front a bit flat, and it takes some fiddling to get them on the front, but not too bad. I left the Toyota logos on, but I did also have to trim the logo nub that goes inside the cap.

What steely rim fit? I need a spare and haven’t found one that will fit, been looking for weeks.
