Hey all,
I have noticed that my LX470 takes what seems like an unreasonably long time to cool down on hotter days (90F+) if I am driving around at under 30 mph or so. It seems like the AC is weak and only puts out slightly cool air until I get up to speed for about a minute. Now obviously this is going to be the case in general for a heat pump of any kind, but it seems a bit extreme. It was in the low 90s the other day and after driving for 10 minutes through a neighborhood, crossing a 4 way intersection and then waiting in line at the drive thru for another 5 minutes the AC hadn't really cooled down much at all and was only blowing very mildly cool air. I got on the highway a minute later and it went to ice cold after about 30 seconds of high speed driving so I'm wondering if something is up with the condenser fan. I noticed today it wasn't turned on even after driving my vehicle around for a few minutes, but it was also much cooler today in the low 80s. I checked the pressure with a basic pressure gauge and it seemed good so I don't think it's that. I also checked to see if the I was going to check the relay for the condenser fan but I can't find a solid answer on where that actually is, supposedly it was moved after the MY 2000 trucks? Any help is appreciated!
