Hi, sad to be selling this truck as it's awesome but it isn't a good fit for my wife (who is short) and is intimidated by driving large cars. That, and she can't actually lift our 6 month old in his car seat into the back, so... Away it goes.
I'm selling our 2001 Land Cruiser with 148k miles. It is a black/grey exterior, and grey interior. It starts great, runs great, and got a clean bill of health (with minor maintenance recommended, but not required on the front CV boots) from Go Toyota Arapahoe.
I just had (used, but good) 285/65/18 BFG AT KOs installed on it, plus durable steel wheels, and a 4-wheel lifetime alignment done by Firestone. The BFGs are tremendous all-terrain tires for our climate and are also awesome on the highway. I actually have 5 wheels (4 on it, one spare) and 9 total tires that can go with the truck if you want them.
Mechanically it's in great shape, and cosmetics are fair and reasonable for the age; full disclosure includes a minor dent on the left rear quarter panel just above the bumper that's hard to spot, but that's the only body damage. It also looks to have had paint touchups. Inside the faux wood trim is peeling in a few places (very common in these trucks) but that can be removed with a little elbow grease. The carpet has also been replaced - why, I don't know, but there's no sign of flooding or anything else weird.
No rust either on the body or underneath. Everything else is straight, all VIN tags on all the body panels are original and match (indicating it's never been in an accident), CARFAX is clean. It's certainly not perfect, but it's a good truck. I don't have proof of when the timing belt was done, so that would definitely be a recommended thing to have done on the truck after you buy it for peace of mind.
Two other benefits of 2001s, in case you are also looking at older years: 2001 is the first year Toyota included the LATCH system for child seats, and this makes it MUCH easier to use kids car seats. The other benefit of any 2000+ Land Cruiser is the addition of ATRAC traction control; 98s and 99s don't have this and frankly any modern family car in Colorado ought to have traction control for our winters. It also has the original and matching 3rd row (which is in my garage right now.)
I am only the second owner. MUD price is $10900 cash, which just gets me out of the truck for what I have into it.
Realizing it's a long shot, but also interested in a trade + cash for a late model 7-passenger crossover (Audi Q7, Mazda CX-9, Buick Enclave, Saturn Outlook, GMC Acadia, Chevy Traverse, etc.)
