so the clutch in my new tacoma is starting to slip, so I went and got a new one. before I go and start to take a part the truck is there any kinda of tricks that I should know? or any kinda special tool?

Tranny jack. Probably a few feet of ratchet extentions to get to the top bolts on the bell housing... If it's anything like my truck. Not too bad of a job if you have a hand to help with the tranny.
