Girlfriend wants to move into the city, so I need to thin the herd.

Meticulously maintained 2000 LX470. Folder of documentation from the day the car was purchased. (also have an excel file of all the work since it's easier to browse through than a big old folder of invoices)...

Been a New England car its whole life, but rust down below is, in my opinion, much less than average.

Will clean up well if somebody wants a "pretty" car. But their reliability is what they're known for, and the immaculate service record ensures it'll be good for a very long time. Cosmetically the worst thing is the pass front door courtesy of some New York City a**hole driver that was backing in to parallel park (one way street, left side), and transferred paint/dented it.

Recent work (most of it done last fall/winter to get it ready for snowboard season! up and down to Vermont/New Hampshire/Maine to snowboard)

NEW DENSO Radiator in Dec. 2016. It was -11 degrees out, the upper plastic end-tank on the radiator (which was original at 225k miles) developed a fine crack. And since I was doing the radiator, I also upgraded the UPPER/LOWER Radiator hoses, Thermostat, and Heater T's with genuine Toyota replacements.

And since I was replacing the radiator, I noticed the A/C condenser was in rough shape. So I replaced it with a NEW DENSO a/c condenser.

And since my battery was measuring 16.2V at idle, I got a new DENSO alternator and Interstate Megatron 2 (800CCA) battery.

The Michelin's that were on it were replaced with new NITTO TERRA GRAPPLER's in 285's. No rubbing.

New brake pads all around.

Also deleted the AHC. It was giving me issues and eventually the front stopped coming up most days. And then every once in a while it would lift and be fine again for a day or two. And then drop again.

I was tired of it, and with winter coming, the last thing I wanted was to always have that worry in the back of my mind and chase issues.

Replaced with all genuine toyota shocks and washers (those were the most expensive washers I've bought in my life). Also OME rear shocks (NO LIFT) and Land Cruiser Torsion bars.

Also has Morimoto BiXenon swap in the front for infinitely better lights than factory, new windshield, and who knows what else I'm forgetting.

Okay I feel like I'm rambling now, so I'll stop... $6,800 OBO.

Thanks Alex! For New England, I think it's better than average. Rust is inescapable up here, so where it's the worst is the upper tailgate lid around the open handle. The bottom of it has seen better days, but still 'strong'. If I come across a better condition black upper tailgate and pass side door, i'd dump the girlfriend and NYC and just keep the car..lol :))

Any more pics you can post of the passenger door or some of the tailgate rust? When was the last timing belt/water pump done?

Craigslist buyer coming to see it tomorrow.

BTW -- that's not a huge rust scrape in the door in the picture above! I just noticed that in the pic and almost freaked out. It certainly looks like it, but it's just a reflection of a leaf on the ground in the adjacent parking spot..

If I wasn’t trying to sell my house, that frame is clean for up here

Craigslist buyer called day of -- said he was in the "4K cash range". I told him he should continue his search elsewhere for the moment.

Coming down to $6,000 to address for the door and tailgate rust.
Otherwise I'll keep it @ my parents' so and it'll be relegated to permanent "Vermont Weekend Ski Trip" duty, and I'll clean the door up in the spring.

Front and Rear Diff's just got 80w90 Mobil 1. Transfer case got 75w90 Mobil 1.
Engine got 5w30 Mobile 1 and a M1-209 large capacity filter.

I am interested but I don't know how far you are form me. I live in Harrisburg PA.

Uster, I'm by the shore in South-West CT, and mapquest has you at 3h40min to my house.

But I could meet you in NY if we can coordinate time. I'm usually in that area on the weekends to see the significant other, so I could bring the car down and save you an hour or so!

ok I will pm you by Thursday to confirm if I could make it on the weekend. I took too many days off work last month and cannot take off during the week anymore.
