2000 LC HVAC Controls Button Replacement

Has anyone replaced the buttons on the HVAC controls.


Long story short. I bought and installed a quality wood grain kit. The adhesion prep 3M stuff got on the button and I wiped it off with some alcohol and it smudged the print for the "Rear AC"


I opened the back screws up but did not go any further without intel. I saw the printed circuit panel maybe its under there and replaceable?


After 22 years in the Army and perfectionist. It bothers me to see the smudge!


My kids let the seat belt slip and smack the window and scratched the tint and it bothers me and its small.


I have had the Cruiser for a few months and have drawn the conclusion. Why didn't I buy one sooner. And was wrong to think Toyota parts were over the top expensive. Don't get me wrong not all.

The buttons are replaceable from the front, no need to open up the dash.

My dealer is quoting me 25. Is that an online Parts dealer. I have found one dealership but the parts manual was limited. Can you recommend one. bucks generally they give me the wholesale discount. I go n weekly to buy stuff fir projects. They had a deal for 2.50 a toyota oil filter if you bought two or more. They really liked me when I bought all the radiator hoses and heater and oil cooler hoses.

that price was toyota parts zone.

stick some chewed gum in the center of the button and pull it straight out
