how long would you say is "forever"?
Have you seen or inspected the rig personally?
I have personally seen this rig. Really well built and extremely nice! For someone looking for a built cruiser this thing is ready to go.
It came from the east coast and has some surface rust on the frame. but nothing major. Its been listed for at least 6 months but only on Craigslist. The guy is somewhat firm on his price which doesnt lend itself to selling on Craigslist. But like i said....I think it is definitely worth the asking price considering the low mileage and upgrades.
Is there anyone local (Bay Area) that would be willing to drive and put eyes on this rig for me? I would need someone that's willing to get down and inspect what's going on underneath. Sounds like there are a couple areas with rust, but it's always impossible to judge how bad it is from a conversation. I talked to the owner. Seems like a nice, honest guy.
If you can help me out I would greatly appreciate it. I would just feel better if an experienced LC person could report back to me about this rig before I fly out from WI to get it. I'm happy to compensate you for your time...PM me and let me know. The truck typically sits in Mill Valley (owner's mom's house), but also could be moved to Petaluma, or just about anywhere north of the GG Bridge. Thanks!

michaelscrf - how recently have you seen this rig? did you get a good look at the rust underneath? the owner seemed to think there were two spots that are problematic. not a crisis, but an issue nonetheless.
I briefly looked at it about a month ago. I mainly stopped because I saw a built cruiser. Then realized it was for sale and decided to chat with the owner. I saw the rust but didn't examine very well. I'd be happy to check it out again. I'll give the owner a call and get back to you. If you could PM me with your phone number I'll give you a call after.
