I was wondering how difficult it is to install an OEM running board on a land cruiser? Is there a guide somewhere for this? My come without a running board.

you are working the wrong way here, MOST of the guys on this site take thier running boards OFF!

They are easy to fit and most of the cruisers come with them stock, tell us where you are and im sure on of the guys here will even sell you a pair of thiers.

I've got a set in the attic that came off easy. Cant imagine they would be hard to put on.

Dc metro area, I just gonna use on road , that why wanted to have it for family car , that do well in snow.

Even for the road, I'd probably go with sliders as they're a lot more tough and will protect the rig better even in parking lots. And for $600 + shipping, they're less than what you can buy boards for.

That said, two ideas for you:

1) place a craigslist ad in cars and autos with a title like: "WTB: Land Cruiser running boards". I'd bet someone has a set laying around in the DC/VA area.

2) Cruiser Parts has a bunch of used OE items. Right now they show running boards for $350/side. Toyota Land Cruiser UZJ100 and Lexus LX470 Parts For Sale They're up in NH.

Thanks guy, I think I have a pair from one of the member from the forum. Thank you so much for all the offer.

PM sent - I have a pair within an hour of your location.
