I just picked up a 4Runner Off Road Premium that I plan to build. I wish I had the room to keep my Land Cruiser, but I do not. My loss is your gain. I hope it goes to someone who will enjoy it for many years to come. Only asking $18,500.
It has less than 195K miles and is not even broken in yet. It has lived its entire life in Oklahoma and has absolutely no rust anywhere. It was sold in November 1999 by Jim Norton Toyota in Tulsa. In 2002, the original owner traded it in at Lake Country Chevy/Cadillac in Muskogee. A now-retired couple from Edmond bought it from Lake Country in 2002 and owned it – and babied it – until they sold it to me. The only reason they sold it was because they wanted something smaller. When I was negotiating the purchase with them, I actually thought they were going to back out of the deal because of their emotional attachment to the truck.
They garaged it the entire time of their ownership and I have garaged it since I have owned it. The paint and body are in really good shape. It is mechanically as solid as they come. I challenge you to find a 100 series in this condition for this price. The interior is in equally great condition. Everything works and it drives and handles like a dream. Super comfortable.
My family and I have used it primarily as a weekend camping truck. It has never been wheeling or taken off-roading. The closest I came was when we took it to the 2021 Rendezvous in the Ozarks, where it rained the entire trip. Needless to say, it got muddy! Services performed within the last 25K miles either by me, Bob Howard Toyota (in Edmond), or Christian Brothers Automotive (in Edmond), include:
-replaced timing belt and water pump
-new spark plugs
-replaced #2 and #8 ignition coils
-flushed and serviced front and rear differentials and transfer case
-replaced valve cover gaskets
-replaced power steering pump
-replaced battery
-rear brake job
-replaced power windows master switch assembly
-replaced hood struts
The last couple oil changes have been with Mobil 1 synthetic oil and OEM filters. I recently replaced the heater tees, installed a new rear wiper blade assembly, air filter, cabin air filters, rear hatch struts, and lightbulbs (Silverstar 9012). I just installed a new set of Infinity 6.5” speakers in the front doors and I cleaned the fuel system with BG Platinum 44K treatment.
When I bought it, it was bone stock, with no modifications. I removed the factory running boards and fender flares. I have kept everything that I have removed from this truck and it will be included with the purchase (running boards, fender flares, factory carpet mats, etc.).
I put a new set of BFG KO2s (285/75/16) on her about 5K miles ago. I also added an 8’ x 8’ awning as well as heavy duty rubber floor mats and a cargo mat. The truck has a hitch with 2” receiver. I built a custom sleep platform for the rear that allows you to camp comfortably inside the cabin by folding down the rear seats and placing a mattress on top. It has worked wonderfully for us. The truck includes all the factory manuals as well as four keys. The primary key is the legendary YOTAMD titanium reinforced kit. Best upgrade ever!
I know I am overlooking other features and upgrades. This is a wonderful truck and I truly wish I had room for it. I honestly did not expect that I would be selling “Meghan.” My next big upgrades were going to be to the audio system and I was in the process of narrowing down my selections when this 4Runner opportunity came calling.
