free bump- My wife loves her Ex more than her 80 that she used to have. Truly a great vehicle with great mileage, carrying capacity and towing capacity.

Best towing truck I have used , esp. when loaded with people. Got 17 mpg from Little Rock to Atlanta fully loaded at 70 mph. Good luck. Mike

I sold a 03 Limited 7.3 with 268k miles and other than miles it was immaculate for $8600 2 years ago. It funded my 97 LC. :D

However, good luck at that price. I started at $15,000 and came all the way down to $8600. Sad.

I'm sure the mileage had alot to do with that. In this area stock Excursions with realatively low miles are going for good money. We shall see. Had a call on it tonight and guy is supposed to come out on Saturday.

Well I feel silly, my Excursion is actually a 2001. I must be getting old!

Call me crazy, but thats a lot of money for an 11 year old Ford product with 170k!

You can buy hot rods for that kind of money.

Anyways... good luck!

Crazy, that is what these are bringing in. I would love to have one, but my 80 gets all of my $$$$. :hillbilly:

How many miles on the injectors?
Did you go with stock or aftermarket?
Anything else (HPOP, IPR, etc.) done at the same time?
Didn't happen to do a compression test on it while the glows were out?

Injectors have about 3k miles on them. The mechanic specializes in desiels saidotor was very strong and should be good for another 200k easy. Injectors were upgraded to Bosch units. I have the paperwork. PO had turbo replaced at 90k miles. Not sure why. Truck is very clean and solid. I just am headed in a different direction.

Good Luck with the sale. X's are like 40's and 80's. They don't make them like they use to.
I have had my 03 7.3 for two years and I love it. Hope you get the price you are looking for. I think you are close to the mark. Its the $4.09 a gallon thats gonna hurt you.

Hate to bust your bubble but I just took a deposit for mine. Really close to asking price.

Location, Location, Location is everything on these. Some areas cant give them away, others demand more than book. When I bought mine, there were going for more than book price in Texas. I ended up buying my well-maintained X in Colorado from a fellow mudder. After the trip costs, I still saved about 2500-3000 and got a beautiful trip out of it.
