Here in the states you can just go buy a Tundra double cab, a member here on mud has swapped most of a 200 series driveline in his for full-time 4WD (only come with selectable).

LOL. To me it is vandalism
of a decent truck. I really don't think any of the cut down dual cab models look good however the 80 series cut down to a single cab look cool.
I thought the Aussie penchant to cut things up may interest you blokes.

Australia doesn't have access to the Tundra or Tacoma offerings possibly because it's right hand drive, so the steering wheel and instruments and pedals would need to be moved, and that is a costly exercise.

Wow, that's ugly (and pointless).
What a waste!
More of these are starting to appear on the roads here at the moment. I don't like the look of this particular one (the bullbar is crap), but they only look right if the wheelbase remains the same, but load carrying capacity suffers instead. Most of these conversions get another 300-500mm added in the chassis in front of the rear tyres. The body work can be filled in and have toolboxes added (as per original link).
