I use my 3d row often and option for building drawers system seemed like adding extra complexity to versatility of the setup.
I found this stackable boxes https://a.co/d/dMwGEWs that fit just right.

They are same heights as collapsed second row seats. And in the trunk you can fit 4 of them.

Queen size mattress fits perfectly on top of them and at least in the one I used you couldn’t really feel unevenness of the surface.

Still have to figure out how to raise drop offs for when 3d row removed but have a feeling it won’t be an issue.

Not ideal but for simple setup with storage I think it’s a winner

I came here as a skeptic, but now I'm thinking it's a solid solution. Probably a bit annoying to get to bins with mattress on top but who cares, it's cheap and effective, and that concept seems to be overlooked in so many truck builds. Way to save a few bucks and still get it done, now get out there and go camping.
